Approachable Mental Health Care
Finding the right therapist means finding the right therapist for you. Each of us are different and face the tragedies, triumphs, and challenges of life with unique needs. My goal is to meet people where they are, establish an environment and relationship that can handle wherever that is, and work toward the goals they have set for our time together.

Individual Therapy
Feeling stuck in a repeating cycle of thought or behavior that is creating problems in your life? Individual therapy can be a great source of guidance and support offered by someone who has extensive training and experience helping others navigate this. Research consistently supports the benefits, so maybe it’s time.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is now considered a frontline treatment for trauma by the American Psychiatric Association, Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, and The World Health Organization. It is supported with over 24 randomized controlled clinical trials. Research into EMDR effectiveness shows promising results for an array of problems beyond PTSD. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist. EMDRIA Certification is a rigorous process that includes additional coursework, supervision, and colleague endorsement after a therapist trains in EMDR. EMDR
Relationship therapy is different than individual therapy and requires someone with formal training and experience working within a systemic framework. Instead of looking at individuals as problems, marriage and family therapists look for the ways the family or couple uses problematic patterns BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS to maintain stability. This involves looking at family rules, roles, boundaries, communication, and much more. My graduate training is in marriage and family therapy. I am also a doctoral student in a marriage and family therapy doctoral program. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT-C), The Gottman Method, and The Gottman Method for affairs and trauma.
